Samsung is positioning the lineup around three different everyday roles: large-screen productivity, lighter foldable discovery and fast cover-screen interaction.
What Samsung announced
Galaxy Z Fold8 is presented as Samsung’s lighter everyday Fold model, with a 201 g body, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy and a 4,800 mAh battery. It is aimed at moving between quick cover-screen tasks and deeper viewing, reading, gaming and browsing on the main display.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is the larger productivity model, with an 8-inch main display, an Ultra-level camera system and a 5,000 mAh battery. Galaxy Z Flip8 is built around quick expression and glanceable actions, with a 4.1-inch FlexWindow and Now Brief on the cover display.
Why the AI layer matters
Samsung says Galaxy AI has been optimized for each form factor. The bigger foldables lean into multitasking and creation, while Flip8 brings more relevant information and shortcuts to the outside screen.
