Snackgirls react
Red I’d like to plug in and hear the sound JAPAEAR settled on. For this one, I’m more curious about the finished tune than opening it up to tinker.
Nea I’d like to sit down with a favorite game soundtrack and hear how its vocals come across. The same MAKE1 housing with a different tune has me curious.
What changes for DIY tuning?
The standard final MAKE1 lets listeners tune the sound themselves. JE Edition does not include a tuning kit, and disassembly is outside warranty coverage.
It retains the original’s three balanced-armature (BA) drivers: one for high frequencies and two for mid frequencies. The mirror-finished stainless steel housing also carries over, with a JAPAEAR logo printed on it.
Check your device’s headphone output
The included silver-coated cable uses MMCX connectors at the earphones and a three-pole, L-shaped 3.5mm stereo plug at the source device. If your device lacks a compatible 3.5mm output, you will need a suitable separately supplied adapter.
JAPAEAR direct shop lists the earphones at ¥55,000 and is taking preorders ahead of the Japan launch.
