WiseTech announced NOBUNAGA Labs’ Onimaru Yu and WALKURE U on October 2, 2026. These replacement cables let you keep compatible detachable-cable earphones and connect directly to a supported USB-C phone, tablet or PC, with the DAC built into the cable instead of a separate adapter. Earphones are not included.

Snackgirls react
Red I’d like to plug into a phone and get straight to the music, with no separate dongle to attach. That’s the setup I’d want to try.
Nea I’d want to keep a favorite wired pair for game soundtracks. Its actual connector would be the first thing I’d look at before choosing a cable.
Match the earphone connector first
Onimaru Yu has MMCX connectors at the earphone end, while WALKURE U uses 0.78mm custom IEM 2-pin connectors. The plugs are not interchangeable: check your earphone’s connector and WiseTech’s compatibility list before choosing either model. The manufacturer also warns that polarity can vary between earphones, so connect with the correct polarity.
The built-in DAC is rated for PCM conversion up to 384kHz/32-bit. That describes its supported conversion limit; it does not turn every song into a high-resolution recording or establish better sound on its own.

Calls and playback, with a PC exception
The inline microphone and remote support hands-free calls, volume adjustment and playback control. When connected to a computer, however, the remote does not support skipping to the next or previous track.
Neither cable is waterproof. Do not use or store it while wet.
Both models are due in Japan on October 9
The Japanese release is scheduled for October 9, 2026. e-earphone lists Onimaru Yu and WALKURE U at ¥11,800 each, including tax.
