The PlayStation 5 release schedule for Dune: Awakening has been locked in again through the official PlayStation Blog. The announced launch date is September 22, 2026.
This is not just another platform name being added. The official post explains that the PS5 version will reflect updates built up from the PC version and include a single-player mode along with console UI and control optimization.
What has been confirmed for the PS5 version
According to PlayStation Blog, the PS5 version mentions optimization for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. The UI and controls are also described as adjusted for console play, suggesting a direction that looks beyond simply moving the PC version over as-is.
The official PlayStation Store page confirms the PS5 platform, pre-order bonuses, and a digital edition price of $49.99. However, that price is based on the U.S. store, so Korean store pricing and physical edition pricing will need to be checked separately.
Physical editions still need to be checked by region
The official post also announced a physical edition. It explains that Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe will handle Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, Solutions 2 GO will cover North and South America, and a retail release is also planned for Japan.
That leaves two main points for console players to check. One is the domestic PlayStation Store price, and the other is whether a Korean or Japanese physical package will be distributed. For now, the September 22 PS5 date and the U.S. digital edition price are locked in as official information.
