Amigo has joined Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds in a free collaboration update released by SEGA on September 9, 2026 JST. The Samba de Amigo crossover adds a new racer to the grid and sets up a limited-time team event.
A classic skin, an original ride and three tracks
Alongside Amigo, the update adds the Amigo (Classic) skin and the original vehicle Locomotive DE Amigo-go. The jukebox gains three Samba de Amigo tracks:
- VAMOS A CARNAVAL – 2023 Ver.
- The Final Lap version of VAMOS A CARNAVAL – 2023 Ver.
- Let’s find and shake it
There is one limitation: “Let’s find and shake it” cannot be set as race BGM.
The Festa turns Touch Dashes into a team target
The limited-time Samba de Amigo Festa runs from September 11 at 09:00 JST through September 14 at 08:59 JST. Three teams compete online under special rules, including a contest based on Touch Dash counts. Festa points unlock collaboration items such as stickers and horns.
SEGA says Festa gadgets will become obtainable in a future operations update, while Festa rewards may also be made available through other methods later.

Red: A locomotive on the starting grid already sounds fun. I want to see how much the Touch Dash contest changes the pace of a team race.
Kirari: The classic skin and Samba de Amigo tracks belong together. I’d be chasing the sticker rewards while choosing the right song for the finish-line mood.
