Kirby and the World Beyond gives its powered-up Copy Abilities a role in getting around, including a sword technique that lets Kirby climb trees. The new expansive 3D adventure is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027.
Copy Abilities reshape the route
Nintendo’s announced movement options include:
- Bomb jumps
- Sticking a sword into trees to climb
- High-speed field movement
Together, they put powered-up Copy Abilities at the center of traversal in the new adventure.
A rescue beyond the wall
Kirby’s journey involves rescuing a mysterious girl from King Dedede and discovering what lies beyond a huge wall. The game’s release year also coincides with the Kirby series’ 35th anniversary.
