Mari Makinami Illustrious from Rebuild of Evangelion is joining Good Smile Company’s PLAMATEA lineup as a buildable, articulated plastic model. Interchangeable glasses and face parts let you adjust her look on display, including the direction of her gaze on the decal-based faces.

Change the glasses and set her gaze
The kit includes two glasses options: one with molded lenses and one with frames only.
A prepainted smiling face is included, alongside three additional face parts: smiling, shouting and a sidelong expression. Those three additional faces use decals to let you choose the eye direction, giving you another way to shape the expression.
Posing the 175mm model
The non-scale model stands approximately 175mm tall. Articulated joints, interchangeable hands and a stand with an articulated support are included for setting up different poses.
The kit uses colored molded parts, painted parts and marking decals. The official photos show painted, completed samples, so assembling the supplied parts does not guarantee an exact match to the finish in those images.
The rifle comes from Unit-08 alpha
Mari includes a hand part that can hold the Evangelion anti-Gigantes rifle supplied with the separately sold MODEROID Evangelion Unit-08 alpha. Neither the rifle nor Unit-08 alpha comes in Mari’s box, so recreating that armed display requires the separate kit.
Preorders through November 11
Good Smile Company’s Japanese shop is accepting preorders from September 28 through November 11, 2026, with shipping planned for May 2027. The listed price is ¥8,700, with a limit of three per person.
