Miffy’s apple-themed world is coming to Kintetsu Department Store Nara, with a red-themed setting and an apple-tree photo spot. This is the first Nara appearance of Miffy zakka festa’s 2026 NEW VERSION, and its two limited mascots will be sold on separate days.

An apple tree and more than 800 Miffy goods
The ninth edition of the series takes apples and the color red as its theme. More than 800 goods will be gathered at the event, including event-limited heat-resistant glass mugs, apple-jam sandwich cookie tins, bags and towels.
The planned apple-tree photo spot uses a designed wall to bring Miffy and the apple theme into the frame. Bring your own camera or other photography equipment; there may be a wait when the venue is busy.
Two mascots, two sale days
- Wednesday, October 7: summer-festival-style mascot. The goldfish-scooping-themed design costs ¥2,750 including tax. There are 250 available, with a limit of one per person.
- Saturday, October 10: apple-apron mascot. This design costs ¥2,420 including tax. There are 200 available, with a limit of two per person.
On each sale day, staff will hand the mascot to interested customers in order at the event entrance while supplies last. Payment is made at the checkout inside the venue.
Where to queue on October 7 and 10
If you arrive before opening on either date, go to the first-floor front west entrance before 9:50 a.m. Numbered admission tickets are scheduled to be distributed from 9:30 to 9:50 a.m., though distribution may begin earlier depending on crowding.
Tickets are limited to the first 250 people on October 7 and the first 200 on October 10. Each person may receive one ticket, and lost tickets will not be replaced.
After receiving a ticket, remain in line for entry in numerical order. Visitors without tickets will be admitted after ticket holders. An admission ticket does not guarantee a merchandise purchase, including either limited mascot.
Groups must line up with everyone present; someone arriving later cannot join a place held by another member. Follow staff instructions during distribution and entry—visitors who do not comply will not be admitted. Entry may also be restricted if the venue becomes crowded.
A shorter final day and a limited daily gift
The event runs October 7–13, 2026, in the third-floor event venue at Kintetsu Department Store Nara, 2-4-1 Saidaiji Higashimachi, Nara. Admission is free. Hours are 10 a.m.–7 p.m., except on October 13, when the venue closes at 4 p.m.
Each day, the first 100 customers spending at least ¥3,300 including tax in a single purchase at the venue will receive a pack of four A4 sheets of original wrapping paper, while supplies last. The gift is limited to once per person per day, and receipts cannot be combined to reach the threshold.
