JBL PROFESSIONAL’s 305P MkIII, 306P MkIII and 308P MkIII were shown as preview models at HARMAN ExPLORE TOKYO 2026 in Japan. Event reports published on October 7 describe active studio monitors with built-in amplification and 81 combinations of DSP room tuning to adjust playback for different production spaces and speaker positions.

Snackgirls react
Red Give me one track and a desk to rearrange—I want to hear what changes when I move the speakers and switch the room-tuning settings.
Nea I’d like to listen to a familiar game soundtrack on the smaller 305P MkIII. Following the quieter accompaniment is the part I’d look forward to.
What the 81 room-tuning combinations mean
DSP stands for digital signal processing: it shapes playback to suit the room and speaker placement. The 81 figure refers to combinations of tuning settings, not volume levels or automatic room measurement.
All three monitors use a two-way design, newly designed woofers and Class D biamplification. The woofer sizes and quoted amplifier power are:
- 305P MkIII: 5-inch woofer and 86 W.
- 306P MkIII: 6.5-inch woofer and 110 W.
- 308P MkIII: 8-inch woofer and 110 W.
Those power figures apply to each speaker, not a stereo pair. When considering a desk setup, check the available space as well as the woofer size; room tuning does not eliminate the need to think about placement.

Check your audio outputs before planning a PC setup
AV Watch describes an XLR connection and a volume knob on the rear. To use these monitors with a PC, check which audio outputs your source device provides and how they would connect to the speaker, rather than assuming a straightforward USB plug-in setup.
Hibino is the Japanese distributor. AV Watch reports an early-November outlook for the Japan release, while PHILE WEB lists the launch date as undecided; the exact date is still awaiting a formal announcement.
