According to SOSO.LABO, the ring helps keep the sound bore—the passage that carries sound from the earphone—from collapsing or deforming under pressure during fitting. A silicone cushion separates the metal core from the earphone nozzle to help prevent direct contact and scratches.
The brand also claims high isolation and rich bass, with less treble loss and muffling for a clearer sound.
Three sizes, but check your earphones too
Outer diameters are 11.50 mm for S, 13.00 mm for M and 13.80 mm for L. All three sizes have a 4.74 mm bore opening and a height of 10.20 mm.
