Marvel Cosmic Invasion is heading into Castle Doomstadt for repeatable runs that mix beat-’em-up combat with changing encounters. The mode comes with the game’s second DLC, The Siege of Castle Doom, arriving November 10, 2026, alongside new playable characters Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom.
The next door can change the rules
Choosing a door means choosing what the heroes need next. Equipment doors offer special powers, while Events temporarily change the rules with bonuses or penalties. Progression doors provide batteries for Reed Richards’ Stabilizer.
In an October 26 PlayStation Blog post, Tribute Games level designer Kevin Chiasson says the mode has more than five times as many encounters as the main game. Those encounters give players different fights to face as they return to the castle.

Reed offers guidance while Doom taunts the heroes
Reed Richards provides voiced guidance during the run, while Doom mocks the heroes. When enemies get the better of them, the Siege Gauge rises; victories yield batteries for Reed’s Stabilizer to help stall Doom.
Collecting Stabilizers and reaching Reed’s lab unlocks equipment, events and modifiers, adding more possibilities to the castle runs.
Each hero gets a separate build
Perks branch into Offense, Defense and Tactical, and apply individually to each hero. A multiplayer group can coordinate its build choices rather than having everyone follow the same path.
Multiplayer runs also feature an MVP showcase with statistics. Completing a run unlocks a new hero color palette, giving players another reward to work toward inside the castle.
