Space Sagittarius’ rare pilot-film scenes are coming to T-shirts

SNACK: 3-line summary

  • Space Sagittarius will bring a merchandise pop-up to three Tokyo bookstores from December 1, 2026.
  • Rare pilot-film scenes feature on T-shirts and framed art, while a glass uses artwork from the ending sequence.
  • Made-to-order online preorders will accept credit cards only, with shipping planned for early April 2027.

Rare pilot-film scenes from the 1986–1987 anime Space Sagittarius (宇宙船サジタリウス) are heading onto T-shirts and framed art. They are part of the Space Sagittarius POP UP SHOP, which will open at three Tokyo bookstores on December 1, 2026.

Snackgirls react

Kirari: The blue waves are what got me! I’d find a matching coaster and photograph the little ship on the glass.

Nea: I’d like to compare the pilot’s ship with the television version side by side. I’m curious which parts of its silhouette carried through.

A different ship and cast design on the pilot-film goods

The pilot version features different designs for the Sagittarius spacecraft and its characters from those seen in the television series. Its stills appear on two T-shirt designs, each priced at ¥4,400 including tax and available only in size L.

The made-to-order Charafine Graph framed artwork brings together four illustrated or graphic panels and a title plaque. It measures 338 × 285 mm overall and costs ¥25,300 including tax.

The ending’s blue waves wrap around a glass

The glass carries the spacecraft-and-blue-waves artwork from the anime’s ending sequence. It holds 200 ml and costs ¥3,300 including tax.

For a desk display, the acrylic diorama layers the spacecraft and five characters in front of an arched starfield backdrop. It costs ¥3,850 including tax. These are four examples from a lineup spanning 11 product categories, not just 11 individual variants.
