SNACK: 3-line summary
- Transformers’ OG-02EX Grinder and other new toys open for preorder in Japan on November 5, 2026.
- The lineup includes the Chuocho Tactical Craft collaboration, retro-styled Arcee and NL-10 Go Prime & Vector Sigma.
- November 5 marks the start of preorders, not the toys’ release.
A bright green chest panel stands out against the black and charcoal armor of Transformers’ OG-02EX Grinder (CTC technical demonstration version). Takara Tomy will open Japanese preorders for the collaboration model on November 5, 2026, alongside new Arcee and Go Prime models.
Snackgirls react
Kirari: I’d want to photograph Grinder from an angle that catches the green chest and purple accents together. Those little flashes of color against the dark armor really draw my eye.
Red: I want a closer look at how Grinder’s bulky shoulders are put together. Then I’d set it beside retro Arcee and compare how they built those two very different bodies.
Grinder’s industrial silhouette meets Arcee’s imagined past
Grinder brings together OVERGEAR, the Transformers series built around a real-mecha concept, and design team Chuocho Tactical Craft. Purple accents, perforated circular shoulder plates and clusters of projecting cylinders give its angular silhouette plenty of detail beyond that green chest panel.
Missing Link C-16 Arcee (The Rebirth type) imagines a retro toy that might have existed in its era, drawing on the Headmaster version of Arcee seen in The Rebirth. It is a hypothetical vintage-style design, with pink-and-white armor, a pale pink face and bright blue eyes.
The tenth New Legends entry is NL-10 Go Prime & Vector Sigma, featuring Go Prime, described as the Swordbots’ sword master. Its product image shows white and gray bodywork, broad black shoulders edged in gold, translucent turquoise components and red blade-like elements.
Studio Series and Age of the Primes join the preorder lineup
The November 5 opening also includes Studio Series TS-47 Alicon, TS-48 Autobot Wheelie, TS-49 Autobot Jazz and TS-50 Shockwave, plus Age of the Primes AOTP-58 Starscream and AOTP-59 Onyx Prime The Deceiver.
