Evangelion New Unit-02 Alpha Reissue Is Assured for Orders by September 8

Kotobukiya’s 1/400 Evangelion Production Model New Unit-02 Alpha is returning, but the assured-order window is nearly over. The Kotobukiya Online Shop says reservations placed by September 8, 2026 are assured; after that date, ordering may close once the available allocation is reached.

Built for the Gatling gun and naginata

The approximately 218 mm model is a multicolor kit with some pre-painted parts, designed to recreate its film appearance through assembly. Its equipment includes a three-barrel Gatling gun, a naginata, two signal termination plug forms, interchangeable waist and rear parts, and multiple sets of hands for changing the pose.

Connections beyond the standard loadout

The kit can also hold the large weapon included with the separately sold Evangelion Unit-08 Gamma. Swapping the rear part adds support for the separately sold M.S.G New Flying Base. Product code KP536 is priced at 13,200 yen, is intended for ages 15 and older, and is scheduled for release in April 2027.
