Acer EP130K can keep its last static ePaper image visible after every power source is removed, thanks to the panel’s bi-stability. The retained picture cannot refresh or change without power. Acer introduced the portable monitor alongside a separate idea for mobile workspaces: the Acer PD163Q P3 triple-screen extender.
Higher resolution in monochrome, color when needed
The 13.3-inch matte panel runs at up to 3200 × 2400 and 60 Hz in black-and-white mode. Switching to color changes the resolution to 1600 × 1200 at 60 Hz, with support for 4,096 colors.
Users can operate it with a stylus or finger, while the folding stand adjusts from 0 to 180 degrees. A single USB Type-C cable can power the display from its host device; connections also include a second USB Type-C port, mini-HDMI, audio output and two 1 W speakers.
Three panels unfold beside the laptop
Acer PD163Q P3 combines three independent foldable 15.6-inch matte IPS displays, each running at 1920 × 1080 and 60 Hz. Together with a laptop’s own display, the setup can provide as many as four screens in extended or cloned modes.
One USB-C cable connects the extender to the host, and Acer includes an external 45 W USB-C power adapter. Brightness can be adjusted uniformly across all three panels.
Regional launches begin in Q1 2027
Acer announced both displays on September 2 during its next@acer press conference at IFA 2026. The EP130K is scheduled for Q1 2027 in North America, EMEA and Australia, starting at USD 749.99, EUR 749 and AUD 1,499 respectively. The PD163Q P3 is planned for the same quarter and regions, starting at USD 349.99, EUR 349 and AUD 899. Exact specifications, prices and availability may vary by region.
