Sony is revisiting one of its familiar noise-cancelling designs with the WH-1000XM4C. Announced in the United States on September 7, 2026, this refresh is based on the WH-1000XM4: the foldable over-ear form and 1000X-series positioning remain, while Sony adds revised sound tuning and a 10-band equalizer.

The XM4 form returns in lavender
The WH-1000XM4C comes in black, platinum silver and lavender. Sony set the US suggested price at $299.99, with black and platinum silver planned for fall 2026; the US announcement lists lavender as limited to Sony and Amazon. CNET reports up to 27 hours of battery life with noise cancelling on.
Official prices, sale dates, color allocations, shipping terms and warranty details for Korea and Japan have not been announced.

WH-CH730N keeps over-ear ANC at $179.99
The WH-CH730N occupies the middle of Sony’s US price ladder. Its Dual Noise Sensor ANC is paired with a foldable over-ear design and up to 50 hours of battery life with noise cancelling on. Multipoint, LE Audio, Fast Pair and Swift Pair cover everyday connections, while the color list spans black, white, pink, blue and oat.

WH-CH530 shifts to a lightweight on-ear fit
At the $69.99 US entry price, the WH-CH530 uses an on-ear design, and its listed features do not include an ANC claim. Battery life reaches up to 55 hours, while a three-minute charge provides up to 1.5 hours. It also includes five-step maximum-volume control, multipoint, LE Audio, Fast Pair and Swift Pair, with cobalt, coral, mint, pink, white and black finishes.
In practical terms, the WH-1000XM4C is the higher-priced familiar 1000X ANC option, the WH-CH730N keeps ANC at a lower US price, and the WH-CH530 offers an entry-priced on-ear form without an ANC claim.

AIKO Ten EQ bands give tinkerers a concrete setting to explore. On the CH models, multipoint and LE Audio are the connection details I’d test first.
Kirari I’d photograph the lavender finish with the headphones folded—the color and silhouette make that the most memorable view. I’m curious which colors each market will eventually receive.
