SNACK: 3-line summary
- Spine is crowdfunding a wall-mounted touchscreen that presents streaming albums as a browsable digital shelf.
- Playback goes through your phone, with different library-sync and playback steps for Apple Music, Tidal and Spotify.
- The current campaign is UK-only; Europe and the US are planned for 2027, and crowdfunding delivery is not guaranteed.
Spine gives your streaming album collection a visible place on the wall: scroll through digital album spines, then tap one to bring up its cover art. Currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter, it is an album-art touchscreen, not a speaker or standalone music player.

Snackgirls react
Red I want to flick through game soundtrack covers and pick the next album by whatever catches my eye.
Nea I’d put an almost-forgotten favourite game soundtrack beside my current favourite. Remembering to re-import new Spotify albums would be the fiddly part.
Your phone still handles the music
The Spine Music app for iPhone and Android handles setup and lets you choose and arrange albums. Once set up, you can browse the wall display, but playback goes through your phone to whichever speakers or headphones it is already set to use.
Apple Music and Tidal connect through account login and automatically sync their libraries. With Apple Music, tapping an album on Spine starts playback automatically through the phone. Tidal requires you to confirm playback on the phone.
Spotify needs a manual library import through TuneMyMusic, repeated whenever you want to add new albums to the shelf. To play an album, you tap it on Spine and then tap the notification on your phone.

A 28-inch display for the wall
The 28-inch touchscreen has an aluminium body and a matte etched glass front. It mounts on a hidden bracket and needs a single power cable; there is no battery.
Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon Music and YouTube Music will not be supported at launch. Support for personal music libraries, local files, Roon and Plex is under consideration, but none is confirmed for launch.
The UK campaign closes on 24 November
The Kickstarter campaign runs from 27 October to 24 November 2026. The maker lists a UK campaign price of £849 and plans to charge £949 after the campaign ends.
Delivery under this campaign is limited to the UK, with Europe and the US planned for 2027. Availability in South Korea and Japan has not been announced. A pledge is for future delivery rather than an in-stock purchase, and delivery is not guaranteed.
