Kemono Friends and Darwin’s Amazing Animals are teaming up for the first time since 2019 to mark the TV program’s 20th anniversary. Higeji appears in Friend form for the collaboration, while other pieces pair Friends with still photographs from the program’s wildlife footage.
Higeji joins the Friends lineup
Higeji’s Friend design appears on the acrylic encyclopedia keychain and die-cut stickers. The A5 acrylic dioramas and A4 clear file take a different visual approach, placing wildlife-footage stills in compositions with Friends.

The Ueno museum-shop route
The original goods go on advance sale from September 12 through October 12, 2026, at the special shop inside the Super Amazing World of Life exhibition at the National Museum of Nature and Science in Ueno, Tokyo. Admission to the special exhibition is required to use the shop, which follows the exhibition’s hours.
The exhibition is open from 9:00 to 17:00, with last admission at 16:30. It is closed on September 14, September 24 and September 28, so those dates should be factored into any visit.
