A changeable face for an aluminium body
The Neo has an aluminium housing with interchangeable speaker grilles, letting you alter its appearance without replacing the whole speaker. The announced finishes are Alu Silver, Alu Black and a limited-edition Champagne.
Its ambient lighting is adjustable through a light strip on the unit. The accompanying Loewe app also offers lighting personalization, so the grille is only one part of the look you can change.
Three sound presets, with controls on top too
The app provides three sound presets alongside bass and treble adjustments. These are the controls to explore when you want to tailor the sound; a grille swap alone is not evidence of an acoustic improvement.
You do not need the app for every adjustment. The top controls include power, bass and treble boosters, and a lighting toggle.
A carry strap, a felt case and a 50W rating
Loewe rates the Neo’s total output at 50W, and the design includes two passive bass radiators. The output figure alone does not tell you how loud, clear or balanced the speaker will sound in your room.
The report also lists an IP67 rating, a detachable leather carrying strap and a felt case. Those details give the Neo a role beyond a fixed desk setup, although the rating should not be taken as permission for unrestricted immersion or saltwater use.
