According to LEGO’s story description, a mysterious key whisks Daisy into the LEGO Friends world. She makes new friends and goes on adventures while searching for a way home, and joins a mission to save a legendary treehouse.
Building Heartlake City for live action
LEGO first announced the musical special in July 2025 as its first live-action television project. Kenny Ortega is the executive producer, while Paul Becker is the director and choreographer.
Final Pixel’s production uses oversized LEGO elements, an LED volume and real-time rendering in Unreal Engine to bring the brick-built world into a live-action setting.
