The Nintendo Switch 2 game Orbitals is receiving version 1.0.5, with fixes for extra-long loading times and a bug that turns half the host’s screen black. The official site’s October 5 post says the fixes are being pushed live.

Snackgirls react
Red: I want to jump into the gunner seat, fire away, then hop back out. Being stuck there would spoil the fun fast.
Nea: I’d like to linger with the ending for a moment. Being sent straight to the main menu would break that mood for me.
Fewer interruptions in co-op, and credits at the finish
The loading fixes cover Asteroid Core and Frozen Depths. The patch also addresses the host’s half-black screen when leaving the ship, along with players getting stuck in the gunner seat after installing the Push Cannon.
Online Slap-stick scores get a desynchronization fix, while the opening Frozen Depths puzzle has been adjusted to make it less confusing.
There is a fix for the end of the game, too: completing it should lead to the credits, rather than sending players straight back to the main menu.
A separate competition for funny gameplay clips
The same post announces a funniest-gameplay-clip competition, with entries closing October 13 at 21:00 BST. Ten winners can choose merchandise and receive an extra item for a co-op partner.
Entrants must be at least 16, and clips must be original, not AI-generated and suitable for all ages. Eligibility is limited to the UK, EEA, US, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, subject to exclusions and the full terms.
