Pokémon TCG’s two-card Stadium shuts off Evolution Pokémon’s Abilities on both sides

SNACK: 3-line summary

  • The Pokémon Trading Card Game has previewed Legendary Pyroduct, a two-card Stadium that removes Abilities from both players’ Evolution Pokémon.
  • Aarune searches your deck for up to three cards total, in any combination of Supporters and Stadiums.
  • The English Mega Evolution—Delta Reign expansion is scheduled for November 6, 2026.

Legendary Pyroduct needs two different cards to become one Stadium, and its Ability-blocking effect reaches your own side of the table. Pokémon’s October 5 preview introduces it alongside Aarune, a Supporter that can help find the pieces for the English Mega Evolution—Delta Reign expansion.

Snackgirls react

Red: I’d love to build around this, but which Evolution Abilities could I live without on my own side? I don’t want my big play to switch off my own engine.

Nea: I’d like to examine the two pieces side by side. A volcanic landscape that continues across both cards is the sort of illustration I’d want to take my time with.

Two different pieces—and your own Abilities go too

To play Legendary Pyroduct, you must combine its two different pieces from your hand. Neither piece can be played on its own. The official preview describes it as one of the first two-card Stadiums in the Pokémon TCG.

While the Stadium is in play, both players’ Evolution Pokémon have no Abilities. If your deck depends on those effects, you lose access to them along with your opponent. The restriction concerns Evolution Pokémon’s Abilities; it does not remove every Pokémon’s Abilities or prohibit attacks.

The preview names Drakloak’s Recon Directive, Alakazam’s Psychic Draw, and Dudunsparce’s Run Away Draw as examples of affected Abilities. Those are concrete effects to consider on either side when deciding how the Stadium would fit into a deck.

Aarune helps find the pair

Aarune is a Supporter that searches your deck for up to three cards in any combination of Supporters and Stadiums. That is a shared limit of three, not three from each category, and you do not have to select the maximum.

The official preview specifically connects that search with assembling Legendary Pyroduct. Both different Stadium pieces can be among the cards you search for, provided they are in your deck. Aarune helps find them; it does not automatically put the Stadium into play.

A volcanic landscape across both cards

Illustrator akagi gives Legendary Pyroduct a continuous volcanic scene featuring Growlithe, Magmar, Steelix, and Heatmor. Setting the two pieces side by side lets you examine the landscape as a whole, giving collectors a visual reason to seek out the pair.

Aarune’s artwork, illustrated by Shimaris Yukichi, takes an almost chibi-like approach to the adventurous Super-Secret Base expert from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. It offers a character-focused contrast to the sprawling Stadium scene.

These cards are coming in the English Mega Evolution—Delta Reign expansion on November 6, 2026.
