Snackgirls react
Red: I want an animated Legends scene that makes me reach for a controller. That’s the kind of energy I’m hoping for.
Nea: Saco’s casting has me wanting to look up Tomoe’s scenes. I’m curious who her voice will belong to in the anime.
Two new voices, but no character names yet
Mayumi Saco and Shinya Fukumatsu have joined the cast in undisclosed roles. Saco voiced Tomoe in the original game, but the announcement does not say she will reprise that character in the anime. Fukumatsu is known for voicing Bomb in One-Punch Man.
Legends makes the move to animation
The adaptation draws on Legends, the game’s multiplayer mode, which debuted in October 2020. The revised schedule concerns the anime, not a game release.
Takanobu Mizuno directs at Kamikaze Douga, with Gen Urobuchi handling story composition and co-writing the script with Renji Oki. Keiji Inai has also been announced as the composer.
Crunchyroll says the anime will stream exclusively on its service. For now, 2028 is the release window: there is no announced month or day, and no explanation for the schedule change.
