SNACK: 3-line summary
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has revealed its Year Two roadmap and a permanent US digital Standard Edition price cut to $39.99.
- Duel Mode and Bayonetta are free additions, with Year Two dated November 3, 2026, in the US announcement.
- Season Pass Two costs $29.99 in the US; the Super Shadow bonus requires ownership of both complete season passes.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has permanently lowered its US digital Standard Edition price to $39.99. Its Year Two roadmap pairs free one-on-one racing with new racers and a separate paid collaboration pass, giving both newcomers and existing players something to look forward to.
One rival, with their gadgets in view
The free Duel Mode adds 1v1 racing with Duel Boost and visible opponent items and gadgets. With just one rival to watch, their equipment becomes part of what you can keep an eye on during a race.
The match options include Rival Duel against the CPU, online Free Match, the limited Best of 10 mode and Friend Match.
A new Grand Master Plate adds a seventh Super Slot for one-slot gadgets. Fifteen new gadgets arrive on day one, and DLC and free racers can also appear as CPU opponents.
Snackgirls react
Red: Give me a Friend Match. I want to watch my rival’s gadgets and see just how cheeky a one-on-one race can get.
Nea: The Evangelion pack has my attention. I’d like to see which details of Tokyo III find their way into a Sonic race.

Bayonetta joins through Rival Duel
The US announcement dates the start of Year Two for November 3, 2026. Bayonetta becomes available as a free unlock through Rival Duel on that date.
A McLaren racing machine driven by Sonic follows later in November, while Aigis is scheduled as another free addition in early 2027. The new festivals will run for 10 days.
Six paid collaborations, starting with Godzilla
Season Pass Two covers six paid packs. Their releases are spread across the roadmap, rather than arriving together at the start of Year Two.
- Godzilla — November 3, 2026, in the US announcement.
- EVANGELION — January 2027, featuring Rei, Asuka and Tokyo III.
- Virtual Sanrio Puroland — Q2, featuring Hello Kitty and Kuromi.
- SEGA LAND — Q3.
- Midgar, a working title, from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series — Q3.
- Persona collaboration covering Reload, Revival and Royal — Q4.
SEGA’s Asian English-language notice lists November 4 for the Godzilla, Consoles Pack and Super Shadow patch. That regional date differs from the November 3 date in the US announcement.
The Sanrio pack also has two restrictions: its course cannot use Mirror Mode, and the parts on Hello Kitty’s and Kuromi’s machines cannot be customized.
The new bundle does not include the first pass
The announced prices below are for US digital editions, not Korean or Japanese stores. The reductions to the Standard and original Digital Deluxe editions are permanent.
- Standard Edition: $69.99 → $39.99.
- Original Digital Deluxe Edition: $89.99 → $59.99.
- Season Pass Two: $29.99.
- Year Two Digital Deluxe: $59.99, including the base game and Season Pass Two, but not Season Pass One.
If you already own the base game, the Year Two bundle would include a copy you do not need. Season Pass Two is available separately.
Super Shadow requires ownership of both complete season passes. Buying individual collaboration packs does not qualify, and the bonus character can only be used in Grand Prix.
