SNACK: 3-line summary
- English Jungle Clefable’s Metronome copies one of the Defending Pokémon’s attacks for one Colorless Energy.
- You choose the attack, and Clefable stays Colorless regardless of the opposing Pokémon’s type.
- Its separate Minimize attack reduces attack damage to Clefable by 20 during the opponent’s next turn, after Weakness and Resistance.
On the original English Jungle Clefable 1/64, Metronome lets you copy one of the Defending Pokémon’s attacks for one Colorless Energy. You pay Metronome’s own cost, without also paying the copied attack’s Energy cost.

Snackgirls react
Kirari: For just one Colorless Energy, I’d be eyeing the opponent’s attacks and picking a favorite. Which one would I want to borrow?
Nea: I like that Clefable borrows an attack but stays Colorless. There’s something charming about using another Pokémon’s move without losing its own identity.
You choose the attack; Clefable keeps its type
There is no random selection: you choose which of the Defending Pokémon’s attacks to copy. That choice does not extend to attacks from Benched Pokémon or to Pokémon Powers.
Whatever type the Defending Pokémon is, Clefable remains Colorless when it copies the attack.
Minimize reduces damage on the opponent’s next turn
Clefable’s other attack, Minimize, costs two Colorless Energy. During your opponent’s next turn, attack damage done to this Clefable is reduced by 20, after applying Weakness and Resistance.
That protection is limited to attack damage against Clefable itself; it does not protect your other Pokémon or block non-damage effects.
