Snackgirls react
AIKO: I like the separation between route instructions and the voice and avatar used to present them. Even navigation can have a costume drawer.
Nea: I’d like to hear an example of the Cat slipping a rhyme into an ordinary turn instruction. That’s a lovely little writing challenge.
Bill Hader voices the turns
Bill Hader voices the Cat, delivering turn-by-turn instructions with Seussian rhymes, an optimistic tone and playful sound effects. It’s a character presentation option for the navigation guidance, with the Cat’s delivery providing the entertainment.
A striped hat for your avatar, a couch for the map
The two Moods are avatar options: Delightful uses the Cat’s red-and-white stovepipe hat, while Impulsive features Thing 1. For the vehicle marker, Magical Couch replaces the navigation arrow with the Cat’s fantastical jet-powered couch.
Start with the menu banner
Open Waze and tap the banner in its menu to activate the experience. Choose your setup while parked; the voice guidance is in English.
