Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced adds New Game Plus on October 27

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will let you start another run with Edward’s equipment and the Jackdaw’s upgrades when Title Update 1.0.8 arrives on October 27 at 14:00 UTC. The update is scheduled for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Ubisoft describes it as the final major content update, but quality-of-life updates are still planned for the coming months.

Your upgrades stay, but the world needs exploring again

New Game Plus carries over Edward’s tools, upgrades and unlocked weapons, along with the Jackdaw’s upgrades, your money and materials. Unlocked officer abilities also carry over, although the officers themselves must be recruited again.

Quest items are removed, map fog resets and forts must be recaptured. You keep the strength you have built up without keeping every part of the world cleared.

Five replay cycles, with tougher ships ahead

You can progress through up to five New Game Plus cycles. Each cycle brings more elite enemies and high-rank ships, giving that carried-over equipment tougher opposition.

A new in-game currency, Escudos, buys New Game Plus-exclusive outfits and items. You earn it through challenges and previously completed chests, or by exchanging Reales at the General Store. Existing Reales costs remain unchanged.

Nightmare mode leaves less room for mistakes

In Nightmare mode, ground enemies deal 1.8 times their usual damage. Parry windows are shorter, the white attack glint is removed and one-shot-kill protection is disabled.

Stealth becomes less forgiving too: enemies detect you faster and can hear you moving faster than a walk. The update also adds original takedown animations and hidden community chests.
