A crossbow hunter with a bird at its side

Zephyr’s roots lie with hunters in the mountains of northwestern Ilsabard, an unforgiving wilderness. The job combines a crossbow with support from an avian familiar, bringing a hunter-and-partner pairing to Evercold’s new-job lineup.

Snackgirls react

Red: I want to try lining up a crossbow shot with help from that bird. I’m curious how the teamwork will feel in a fight.

Nea: I’d probably open the lore pages before choosing my gear. Those hunters in northwestern Ilsabard make me want to learn more about their mountain home.

Two battle modes, but only one for Zephyr

Evercold introduces two battle modes: Reborn is based on the current combat system, while Evolved emphasizes each job’s identity.

Players will be able to choose between the modes for existing jobs, excluding limited jobs. That choice does not extend to the expansion’s new jobs: Zephyr and the tank Bastion will be playable only in Evolved mode.

Zephyr is coming with Evercold, whose global version is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027.
