SNACK: 3-line summary
- World of Warcraft Forever has launched worldwide.
- Access is included with a World of Warcraft subscription or game time; it is not free-to-play.
- Your first login starts with a Classic or Enhanced presentation preset, followed by a ruleset choice.
World of Warcraft Forever is now live worldwide, with access included in a World of Warcraft subscription or game time. It offers an additional permanent home in Azeroth alongside modern WoW and WoW Classic, without replacing either.

Classic or Enhanced changes how you begin
Your first choice is a presentation preset. Classic pairs a simpler, original-style interface with SD character models. Enhanced uses HD models and a more modern interface with additional guidance.
Choosing Classic here does not send you to a WoW Classic server or restrict your abilities and progression. These are starting settings, and you can adjust individual options later in the Options menu.

Red: I’m already thinking about a party for those new dungeons. Who’s up for exploring them together?
Nea: I’d like to take my time with the new quests. I’m curious about the stories they’ll tell in the original Azeroth.
Choose your ruleset instead of a realm
After the preset, Forever replaces the traditional realm-selection step with a choice of four rulesets: Normal, PvP, Roleplay, and Roleplay PvP.
On PvP and Roleplay PvP, players from the opposing faction can attack you. Normal keeps PvP optional, making this a choice worth considering before you head out.
Hardcore is not available at launch. It is planned for later, but no date has been announced.
New stories and dungeons across the original Azeroth
Forever takes players through the original continents from levels 1–60, with more than 1,000 new quests along the way. That gives the familiar setting new stories to explore as you level.
For players heading in with a party, there are also nine new five-player dungeons spanning levels 13–60.
