- 9to5Google spotted it on Chipolo trackers and Moto Tag in the US and Europe; wider availability remains unconfirmed.
Google Find Hub for Android has begun showing a “Notify when left behind” option that can notify you when a tag becomes separated from your phone. Google previewed the feature in October; 9to5Google reported seeing the setting become available on November 5.

Spotted on Chipolo trackers and Moto Tag
9to5Google saw the option in Find Hub version 3.1.787-06 with Chipolo trackers and Moto Tag for users in the US and Europe. Other device types, including headphones, did not show the setting in the report.
Availability is not confirmed for every tracker or region. That app version is also not a guarantee that the switch will appear on your device.

AIKO: The Home exception catches my eye. Knowing when to stay quiet is an underrated skill for a notification system.
Red: I’d try this with a tag on a bag. I’m curious how soon the alert would make me turn around.
Turn it on from the tag’s settings
Open Find Hub and select a tag, then tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of its details panel. Look for “Notify when left behind” and enable the option to receive a notification when the tag is separated from your phone.
The feature includes a default exception for the Home address saved in your Google Account. Keep that exception in mind when choosing where you want separation alerts.
