Snackgirls editor note
Red: “The new system name is now on the official page, and the Seoul event date has been listed separately. For Warframe fans, this is one of those moments when the in-game and offline schedules start moving together.”
Nea: “Registration is not open yet, but Seoul on September 4 is now a clear marker. If you want to attend, keep watching the official social channels and news page.”
Digital Extremes has teased Warframe: Tau as a 2026 update during the TennoCon 2026 news cycle. The official Tau page introduces a new system, the Fornax region, and a changed world surrounding Tau.
Separately, an official news post also revealed the TennoVIP World Tour schedule. Among the listed stops, TennoVIP Seoul, South Korea + Devstream is scheduled for September 4.
The game update and Korea event schedule landed together
Warframe: Tau itself is a major update signal for 2026. With a new region, enemies, and system changes teased, it gives existing players a major point of reference for when to return.
TennoVIP Seoul is the more direct date for players in Korea. The official notice lists Seoul, Xi’an, London, and Glasgow together, while also stating that registration for all events has not opened yet and that players should watch for future announcements on official social channels.
There are two things to do now
First, on the game side, players can wait for more details on the Tau update. Since it is currently framed only as a 2026 update, the exact release timing and content scope need to be confirmed through the next official announcements.
On the event side, the priority is to track registration notices around Seoul on September 4. Since the official post states that ticket registration has not opened yet, it is safer to rely on Warframe’s official news and social channels rather than unofficial forms or intermediate links.
What does this mean for returning players?
Warframe is a game with years of accumulated updates, so a major announcement alone does not always decide the right moment to return. The key question is “when can I jump in and properly see the new content?” Tau and TennoVIP Seoul create those reference points at the same time.
For players in Korea, the game update side means watching for further 2026 announcements, while the offline event side means watching for registration notices before September 4.
