Red — I want to try the 49-inch G9 with a racing game and see how much of the track stays in view when the action reaches the edges.
AIKO — Triple Mode is the intriguing part: UHD at 360Hz, QHD at 520Hz or FHD at 680Hz. One panel, three operating profiles—efficient.
Samsung used Gamescom 2026 to demonstrate how its four 2027 Odyssey monitors address different styles of play, from wide views of tracks and maps to competitive gaming at very high refresh rates. The showcase also connected the new hardware with expanded HDR10+ GAMING support and glasses-free 3D demonstrations.
Ultrawide and curved OLED options
Samsung describes the Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SJ) as the world’s first 49-inch Dual QHD gaming monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate. Its ultrawide format is designed to keep more of a game environment in view, including track layouts, maps and activity near the edges of the screen.
The Odyssey OLED G7 (G75SJ) takes a different approach with a 42-inch, 16:9 curved OLED panel. Samsung calls it the first monitor of its kind and says it offers about 72% more screen area than a 32-inch model, paired with a 1000R curve.

Resolution and refresh modes on demand
The 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SJ) includes Triple Mode, supporting UHD at up to 360Hz, QHD at up to 520Hz and FHD at up to 680Hz. The 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H), which Samsung describes as the world’s first 1,100Hz gaming monitor, offers QHD at up to 600Hz or HD at up to 1,100Hz through Dual Mode.
Samsung’s report did not announce final prices or retail dates for the four models in Korea or Japan.

HDR plans and Gamescom demonstrations
Samsung is working with Activision Blizzard to bring HDR10+ GAMING to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. It also plans to extend support to more than 20 AAA games by the first half of 2027, reducing the need to adjust HDR settings manually before launching a compatible title.
At the Gamescom booth, Cyberpunk 2077 and Cronos: The New Dawn demonstrated the depth and spatial perspective of Odyssey 3D without specialized glasses. Samsung also showed Crimson Desert Enhanced on an Odyssey G8 and an 83-inch OLED TV, while 48-inch OLED TVs provided access to cloud gaming through Samsung Gaming Hub.
