Gundam Assemble Puts a Fallen Space Colony on the Table

Gundam Assemble puts a fallen space colony at the center of a large sample diorama at Gundam Base Tokyo, surrounding the game’s roughly 5cm Gunpla with a full battlefield. The colony scenery belongs to the venue display and should not be mistaken for something packed with Starter Set 01.

What a 5cm mobile suit looks like in battle

Gundam Assemble is a miniature battle game built around compact Gunpla models. The display combines painted miniature samples with tabletop terrain, making the scale of each unit and the wider battlefield easy to see. Unit settings reflect the individual mobile suits, while play can follow scenarios from their original stories or create new cross-series situations.

The painted display is only part of the hobby

Gundam Assemble Starter Set 01 is scheduled for October 2026 at ¥3,850 including tax, with six miniature Gunpla and the items needed for play. Expansion Packs 01 and 02 and Paint Pack 01 are due in the same month; the paint pack includes paints and a brush. The samples at Gundam Base Tokyo are painted, while the retail products are expected to use molded colors, so the display finish should not be assumed to come pre-painted.

The September 6 source report says the diorama is on display but does not provide an end date. Gundam Base Tokyo is on the seventh floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza at 1-1-10 Aomi, Koto-ku, Tokyo. Regular hours are listed as 10:00–21:00, subject to the facility, and admission restrictions, numbered tickets or advance lotteries may be used. Visitors should check current admission and store information before traveling.
