viaim Rise lets you start meeting recordings from its charging case

viaim Rise can begin recording from its smart charging case while at least one earbud remains inside, without requiring the user to open the lid or reach for a phone. The feature arrives in the spotlight after IFA named Rise its 2026 Best in Audio winner. viaim also calls the product a Best in Design Honoree and plans to open its Indiegogo campaign on September 8 at 9:00 AM ET.

The case waits for the user to press start

viaim says the case has three microphones and records only after the user starts it. Connected to a computer through USB-C, it can also support desktop meeting capture through the viaim PC app.

The company presents Rise as a tool for recording, transcribing and translating phone calls, in-person meetings and multilingual conversations across 78 languages and 145 accents. Because those recordings can include other people, users should obtain consent and follow applicable local rules. The current preview also says actions outside the system require user confirmation.

A $259 pledge, with campaign terms still to come

The super-early-bird pledge is $259, compared with a planned $399 MSRP, and includes three months of viaim Pro. This is crowdfunding rather than ordinary retail availability, so pledging does not guarantee delivery.

The available pre-launch information does not specify the shipping schedule, the ongoing Pro price, exact feature limits after the included period, or warranty and return terms for each country. Those details are worth reviewing when the campaign opens.

From captured conversations to drafts and tasks

viaim says Rise can turn recorded context into summaries, drafts and tasks. An independent August 31 report cautioned that integration support may vary by platform and region, with the final integration list expected at launch.

For audio, viaim lists an 11mm woofer and 6mm tweeter, Hi-Res Audio Wireless, LDAC and LHDC support, ANC, transparency and voice-pass-through modes, plus multi-microphone input with a bone-conduction VPU. The official preview claims 30 hours of total battery life, fast charging and magnetic wireless charging with MagSafe-standard chargers. viaim also says it is working with Bose Audio Technology engineers on acoustics and ANC; that does not mean Bose manufactured or certified the earbuds. Sound, ANC, transcription, translation, battery and integration performance remain pre-launch manufacturer claims rather than independently established results.
