Arcade-card layouts and beetle artwork from Mushiking: The King of Beetles are back in an everyday format. caseplay began selling its first Mushiking smartphone-accessory collection on September 7, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. JST, bringing the familiar cards and battle marks to phone cases and other portable accessories.
Seven ways to carry the arcade look
The smartphone-case lineup covers seven motifs:
- Kabutomushi and Ookuwagata
- Kabutomushi card and Ookuwagata card
- The three-way rock-paper-scissors battle relationship
- Monochrome Kabutomushi and monochrome Ookuwagata
The mix pairs real-insect imagery with the card structure and marks familiar to people who played and collected the arcade cards.
More than 170 phone models are supported
The cases are available for more than 170 models across the iPhone, Xperia, Pixel and Galaxy families. The exact device still needs to be selected and confirmed on the product page. According to the official company release, each product is printed on demand after an order is placed.
The collection goes beyond phone cases
Slim protection cases and premium card wallets cost ¥4,980 each, while premium cases cost ¥5,980. Earphone cases and watch bands are ¥2,780 each, and premium ring stands are ¥3,480. All listed prices include tax, with the card-inspired collection spanning five everyday accessory routes.

Kirari: The Kabutomushi card design catches my eye first. I’d want a close-up photo that lets the familiar card frame and beetle artwork fill the shot.
Nea: The premium card wallet fits the collecting side of the arcade memory nicely. I’d check my exact phone model first and then choose which accessory should carry that layout.
