Big Ocean released the digital single ‘Love Sign’ on major music streaming platforms at 12 p.m. KST on Sept. 9. The track marks the trio’s first release since ‘Make It Up To You’ in May, bringing PJ, Chanyeon, and Jiseok back with new music after about four months.
A familiar question becomes the hook
The title ‘Love Sign’ combines the familiar question ‘What’s your sign?’ with sign language. Built on a nu-disco groove and written mostly in English, the song names American, British, and Korean sign languages—ASL, BSL, and KSL—in its chorus hook. The publicist release presents sign language not as an added translation, but as the theme, hook, and language of the performance.
New York is the next stage
On Sept. 10 local time, Big Ocean is scheduled to launch the ‘Big Ocean × Andy Yu Debut Collection’ at the Official New York Fashion Week Men’s Day and perform ‘Love Sign.’ The group’s fall U.S. tour is set to begin Sept. 13 in Katonah, New York, followed by listed concerts and festival appearances in Korea.
