Nea ₹1,999 and that long case-assisted runtime claim catch my attention, but sealed earbuds depend so much on fit. I’d want independent fit and battery tests before getting attached.
AIKO Call-mic noise processing is not music ANC: different signal path, different job. Two Bluetooth versions, two latency figures and two fast-charge claims on one official page need a documentation patch.
vivo Buds launched in India on September 10 at ₹1,999 including tax, pairing an entry-level price with a claimed 50 hours of total music playback using the charging case. The sealed in-ear earbuds come in Nilgiri Green and Basalt Black.
What the 50-hour claim includes
vivo rates the earbuds for up to 12 hours of music per charge and up to 50 hours with the case. Its internal tests used 50% volume, AAC and all sound effects switched off. There are no independent sound, fit, call, battery or durability results to compare with those claims yet.
The fast-charge figure is also unsettled. The main release says a 10-minute charge provides up to four hours of use, while the FAQ on the same page says three hours. Neither figure should be treated as definitive until vivo clarifies the discrepancy.
Call noise reduction is not music ANC
Dual-Mic AI Call Noise Cancellation processes microphone audio during calls; it is not active noise cancellation for music playback. Listeners who need music ANC will need another option.
Each earbud weighs approximately 3.8 g and contains a 10 mm dynamic driver made with PU and PEEK materials. The earbuds carry an IP54 rating, but that protection does not extend to the charging case.
Useful features depend on the connected phone
The feature set includes sound presets, an audiobook mode, a customizable 10-band EQ, spatial-audio modes and multipoint for two devices. Spatial Audio and integrated system controls require compatible vivo or iQOO devices. Other Android and iOS phones use the vEarphones app for some controls, while Find My vivo Buds and Remote Camera Control also require compatible vivo or iQOO hardware.
Connectivity details need correction or confirmation. The official release body and footnotes list Bluetooth 6.1 and 42 ms earphone-side gaming latency on selected vivo or iQOO devices, while the FAQ on the same page lists Bluetooth 5.4 and 88 ms. Import shoppers may want to wait for that conflict to be resolved and check app support, fit and warranty coverage. South Korean and Japanese pricing, launch timing and local warranty details have not been provided.
