Bayonetta is crossing into Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as the first free character update of the game’s second year. She will arrive as a playable racer with the Butterfly Witch machine, although a release date for the update has not been announced.
The witch brings her own machine and attitude
Special emotes and sounds complete Bayonetta’s crossover package. The official teaser, which also previews more of the game’s upcoming collaborations, can be watched below.
Godzilla and Evangelion stay on the paid track
The teaser gives another look at two previously announced paid DLC packs. The Godzilla Pack contains the Godzilla Escape course and three machines: the Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe, and Mothra Surf. The Evangelion Pack adds the Tokyo-III course, EVA-01, EVA-00, and EVA-02 machines, along with Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami Langley as playable characters.
October 9 brings the next year-two update
SEGA will share more details during the World Championship Finals and Year Two Showcase livestream on October 9. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
