Conversation can continue while the agent works
The system accepts live camera, screen and audio input. It can also make asynchronous tool calls in the background while the conversation continues, rather than treating speech as a standalone output stream. Google’s official demos include a fictional Kookabank banking screen, an insurance-claims intake example and a voice agent built with Google ADK; they are demonstrations, not evidence of those services operating at a real bank.
Preset faces now, custom faces by approval
Google offers preset avatars and describes support across 97 languages. It says the generated video and audio streams carry SynthID watermarks. Creating a custom avatar from a reference image is restricted to allowlisted enterprise customers, not a generally enabled option.
Where developers can start
Google Cloud lists US and EU endpoints for the feature. Developers can consult Gemini Enterprise and the official API documentation to plan an integration, but custom-avatar access requires explicit allowlisting. The announcement does not establish access through the consumer Gemini app.
