Kirari: I’d keep the pose simple and photograph it from a low angle. That stocky silhouette is what I want to show off.

A stocky stance and stripes made from separate parts
The kit depicts XD-01 Dragonar 1 from the 1987 TV series Metal Armor Dragonar. Its proportions follow Kunio Okawara’s original setting art, giving it a broad, stocky silhouette that suits a simple standing pose.
Assembly requires no glue, and eight part colors reproduce details including the shin stripes. HOBBY Watch also notes that the shield’s numeral 1 is made from separate colored parts. Decals are supplied for fine markings.
Shoulders that bring both hands to the railgun
The shoulders move forward so Dragonar 1 can hold its hand railgun with both hands. A sliding mechanism between the ankles and shins also helps provide movement, while the joints use polycaps.
The lower rear nozzle and its cover can be opened or stowed. For another posing option, the two included laser swords can be joined together; a hybrid shield is also included.
Hasegawa lists the Japanese release for around December 25, 2026. The suggested retail price is ¥8,580 including tax.
