Imagine C-3PO built by Tony Stark: that is one of the creative prompts in Hope Assembles, LEGO Ideas’ first fan challenge combining Star Wars and Marvel Comics. Announced at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026, the challenge invites original fan builds to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope in 2027.

Snackgirls react
Kirari: I want to see how builders combine Venom and Vader in one silhouette. Choosing whose shapes and colors catch your eye first sounds like the fun part!
Nea: The Avengers in the Cantina is the idea I’d linger over. I’d like to see which Marvel Comics details a builder brings into that familiar Star Wars scene.
Choose a character, vehicle or scene
There are three separate challenges: Character Fusion, Vehicle Fusion and Scene Fusion. Each entry must be an original creation combining elements from Star Wars: A New Hope and Marvel Comics, using 400–3,000 pieces; the brief does not extend to other Star Wars eras or the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The campaign suggests Venom fused with Darth Vader, a Tantive IV designed by Reed Richards, or the Avengers visiting the Cantina. These are starting points for builders’ imaginations, not announced products.

Build and submit by November 12
All three challenges accept submissions until November 12, 2026. Participants must be at least 16 and have both a LEGO Account and a LEGO Ideas profile. Entries are open worldwide except where prohibited by applicable laws.
You can build with physical LEGO bricks or use a virtual building app such as BrickLink Studio. Sign in through the official Hope Assembles campaign page, choose a challenge, and submit a description and images of your creation without using AI tools. Multiple entries are allowed, but only one entry per person will be considered for the grand prize selections.
Grand prize selections are due to be announced in 2027. Selected designs may become official LEGO products, subject to review—not automatic production based solely on a fan vote. No winning design or finished retail set has been announced.
