Kirari The milk-carton shape looks especially cheerful in orange or turquoise. I’d love to photograph a few different panel combinations.

Red I’d like to run game soundtracks from my computer over USB-C. I want to turn that knob and change tracks without reaching for my phone.

A hook for the S, a handle for the M

Nothing lists the smaller Speaker S at 334g and 10W RMS, with an attachment point for a strap or carabiner. The 602g Speaker M has a built-in handle and a woofer-and-tweeter system rated at 35W RMS.

Both come in white, dark grey, orange and turquoise. Swappable front panels and knobs let you change their appearance.

On either model, the physical knob handles volume, play/pause and track changes; a long press toggles Ultra Bass. Power, Bluetooth and Auracast have their own buttons. The Nothing X app offers four EQ presets plus Custom EQ on compatible Android and iOS phones, without requiring a Nothing handset.

USB-C for the desk, matching models for stereo

Both speakers can play audio over USB-C, giving them a wired connection option for a computer. They also support Bluetooth 6.0 and two simultaneous device connections.

Stereo Mode requires two Speaker S units or two Speaker M units, not one of each. The separate Auracast Party Mode links compatible Auracast speakers for shared playback.

Nothing claims up to 18 hours of playback for both, based on laboratory testing at 25°C with volume at 50%, Balanced EQ, Ultra Bass on and AAC audio. Actual battery life varies with volume, settings and use. Both have an IP68 dust- and water-resistance rating, though that protection can decline with wear.

Prices on Nothing’s UK store are £49 for Speaker S and £99 for Speaker M.
