GRIDMAN UNIVERSE’s Rikka and Yume go ’80s idol for a new pop-up

GRIDMAN UNIVERSE’s HEROINES ‘80s Idol POP UP SHOP opens today, October 19, 2026, in Shibuya and Kyoto, with merchandise sales starting the same day. The specially commissioned artwork gives Rikka Takarada and Yume Minami an ’80s idol makeover, pairing gold-colored microphones with blue-and-pink plaid.

Blue plaid for Rikka, pink for Yume

Rikka wears a blue plaid hat and skirt with a black top, while Yume pairs her black top with a pink plaid bow and skirt. Their acrylic stands have cassette-tape-inspired bases, carrying the retro theme right down to the bottom. The two designs cost ¥1,760 each, including tax.

Clear files and tapestries carry the retro artwork

Navy-and-purple graphics and pink-and-blue cassette motifs frame the duo’s idol look. A4 clear files come in three designs at ¥660 each, while B2 tapestries come in three designs at ¥3,850 each; both prices include tax.

Acrylic keychains, badges and paper stickers round out the six product categories.

Two bonus designs, but you can’t choose

For every ¥2,200 spent on eligible goods, including tax, shoppers receive one bonus bromide print at random from two designs. The prints are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, and the design cannot be selected.

The venues are the IP Bookstore on SHIBUYA TSUTAYA’s sixth floor and Kyoto IP Bookstore.

Goods are available in limited quantities and may sell out. Check store signs or ask staff about any item-specific purchase limits; entry may also be restricted when the shops are busy.
