The Gundam Base Shibuya will open on November 20, 2026, on the fifth floor of Shibuya PARCO. Admission is free, but opening-period visitors cannot simply count on walking in: an advance entry lottery will cover the entire day on every date from November 20 through November 30.
Snackgirls react
Kirari: That package-art wall is where I’d want to take a photo! I’m curious how those familiar box illustrations will look when they fill a whole wall.
Nea: I’d like to see the clear-color G04 and G05 side by side. I wonder how their blue and red accents will look as the light passes through the translucent parts.
Gunpla box art moves onto the walls
The official interior concept render previews neon signs, a large LED screen and mobile suit busts at the center of the store. Original screen visuals will blend Gunpla with Shibuya street scenes, with 3D Gunpla diorama sequences also planned.
Beside the checkout, Nori Yokoyama’s wall graphics will rework package art originally designed by Naochika Morishita for the HGUC RX-78-2 Gundam, HGCE Strike Freedom Gundam and HGUC Unicorn Gundam Destroy Mode. The familiar illustrations will become part of the store’s planned interior.
All 15 SHIBUYA COLLECTION picks change each month
SHIBUYA COLLECTION is a dedicated area with a selection of 15 Gunpla kits that will be replaced in full every month. Three kits from the opening lineup have been announced, with the following tax-inclusive prices:
- MG 1/100 Gundam Base Limited Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility — ¥14,080.
- HG 1/144 Gundam G04 Clear Color — ¥2,475.
- HG 1/144 Gundam G05 Clear Color — ¥2,475.
The remaining opening picks will be revealed later. Some items are not currently stocked at other Gundam Base stores. Quantities are limited, and an entry ticket does not guarantee a product purchase.
The entry lottery opens November 9
Applications are not open as of October 20. The application window runs from November 9 at 10:00 to November 15 at 23:59 JST, with results announced progressively from November 16.
Each winning slot admits only the winner. Visitors who need assistance may bring one companion. Winners should arrive 10 minutes before their assigned time; changes to that time are not available.
Cancellations may be released as same-day entry slots, but availability is not guaranteed. A smartphone or tablet is required to issue a same-day ticket.
Find it on Shibuya PARCO’s fifth floor
