SNACK: 3-line summary
- The original English Jungle Snorlax card uses Thick Skinned to prevent four named conditions.
- The power cannot be used if Snorlax is already Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed.
- Its separate Body Slam attack costs four Colorless Energy, deals 30 damage and adds Paralysis on heads.
The original English Jungle Snorlax card (11/64) looks ready for a nap, yet its Pokémon Power, Thick Skinned, prevents it from becoming Asleep while the power is working. That sleepy appearance makes the printed rule especially fun to notice.

Snackgirls react
Kirari: Such a sleepy pose for a Pokémon that can block sleep! That makes me want to give the artwork a closer look.
Nea: I’d linger over those two condition lists. Poisoned being absent from the restriction is the little detail that makes me want to read both sentences side by side.
Four conditions blocked, but three that stop the power
Thick Skinned prevents Snorlax from becoming Asleep, Confused, Paralyzed or Poisoned. That protection does not prevent damage or remove conditions Snorlax already has.
The restriction names a different-sized list: the power cannot be used if Snorlax is already Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed. Poisoned is among the four conditions it prevents, but is not named among the three that disable it.
Body Slam adds a coin flip for Paralysis
Body Slam is a separate attack that costs four Colorless Energy and deals 30 damage. You also flip a coin; on heads, the Defending Pokémon becomes Paralyzed. The flip determines the added Paralysis, not whether the attack deals its damage.
