SNACK: 3-line summary
- The original English Jungle Wigglytuff’s Do the Wave counts only your Benched Pokémon.
- The attack costs three Colorless Energy, with 10 damage plus 10 more for each Pokémon counted.
- Lullaby is a separate attack that costs one Colorless Energy and puts the Defending Pokémon Asleep.
On the original English printing of Jungle Wigglytuff 16/64, Do the Wave gets its extra damage from your Benched Pokémon. Neither your opponent’s Bench nor the Wigglytuff using the attack contributes to that count.

Snackgirls react
Kirari: Those long ears give that round little silhouette so much character! I’d stop to admire the illustration before reading the attacks.
Nea: That little “your” has me wondering which Pokémon I’d put on the Bench. I like the idea of the waiting teammates having a part to play.
The small word that controls the damage
Do the Wave costs three Colorless Energy and has a printed damage value of 10+. Its text reads: “Does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each of your Benched Pokémon.”
The important word is “your.” More Pokémon on your Bench increase the attack’s damage, not its Energy cost. Those Pokémon contribute to the count; the attack is not dealing damage to each of them.
Lullaby has its own effect
Lullaby costs one Colorless Energy. Its printed text says, “The Defending Pokémon is now Asleep.” There is no coin-flip condition in that wording and no printed damage number beside the attack.
The two attacks are separate choices. Lullaby applies the Sleep effect; choosing Do the Wave does not add that effect to its damage.
