Razer’s Kraken Kitty V3 wired USB-C gaming headset will launch in Japan in December 2026, according to PHILE WEB. Its glowing cat ears can come along for cosplay, too: a portable power bank can supply the RGB lighting without a PC nearby.

Wired audio, with extra requirements for surround
The standard Kraken Kitty V3 has a fixed USB-C cable, 40 mm Razer TriForce drivers and a HyperClear cardioid microphone. Razer describes the microphone as designed to focus on your voice while reducing surrounding noise.
For 7.1 virtual surround, you’ll need Windows 11 (64-bit) or later and Razer Synapse 4. That surround feature has additional requirements beyond the basic wired USB-C audio connection.
Chat-reactive lighting at the desk, cosplay presets away from it
Razer Chroma RGB lights both the cat ears and earcups. With the Razer Streamer Companion app, the lighting can react to stream alerts, emotes and chat events.
Cosplay Mode runs the lighting from a USB power supply or portable power bank, while the multifunction button cycles through three onboard presets. This powers the lights only—it does not turn the headset into a wireless audio model.
The cushions provide passive isolation, not ANC
The ear cushions combine fabric and leatherette and provide passive noise isolation. They do not offer active noise cancellation (ANC) for the listener.
The announced Japanese price is JPY 17,580, including tax.
