Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has reached Nintendo Switch 2, completing Lara Croft’s Survivor Trilogy on the platform. Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics announced the US release on October 22, bringing the 2018 finale and all of its downloadable content to the system.
Into Paititi, with seven extra challenge tombs
Lara’s journey takes her into Paititi as she tries to stop a Maya apocalypse and confront Trinity. Exploration, jungle stealth and crafting are part of the adventure.
Definitive Edition includes all seven downloadable challenge tombs, plus the downloadable side missions, weapons, outfits and skills. Two-player online co-op applies to challenge-tomb content, not the full story campaign.
Snackgirls react
Red: I want to tackle the tomb puzzles and figure out the climbs for myself. No guide until I’m properly stuck.
Nea: I’m curious how Lara changes across the three games. I’d like to return to the first chapter after the finale and see which little character details stand out differently.
Lara’s whole origin story in one collection
The new Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy collection for Nintendo Switch 2 brings together:
- Tomb Raider Definitive Edition
- Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
The collection includes each game’s DLC and online features. It gathers the three Survivor Trilogy games that follow Lara’s origins, rather than the original 1996-era adventures.
US prices and the launch discount
The announced US prices are $39.99 for Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and $69.99 for the three-game collection. A 10% launch discount runs through November 4 under the US offer.
