Transparent lenses, with the heavy processing elsewhere
AURA is the first wired pair of glasses powered by Android XR. Its transparent lenses let you see your surroundings while spatial and 2D apps appear in your field of view, with a 70-degree field of view for arranging those windows.
The external puck houses the battery and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Reality Elite platform, which debuts on AURA. The under-95g specification applies to the glasses alone, not the combined weight of the glasses, puck and cable.
A laptop window beside your Android XR apps
You can arrange multiple apps around you and use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, or the puck as a trackpad. Wired Mirroring adds your laptop screen as a resizable window alongside Android XR apps. It requires a USB-C cable that supports video output, and Google says no software installation is needed.
Google Play brings mobile and tablet games as well as more than 150 apps made for XR. A game can sit beside a walkthrough or a chat window, while Gemini can offer help with a screen or real-world view you choose to share.
November shipments, with Japan orders opening next
Orders opened on October 28, 2026, in the U.S., Canada and Korea; Japan follows on November 2. AURA is available to users aged 18 and over, with shipments beginning in mid-November.
Google lists launch pricing from US$1,099 through the end of 2026. Orders are available through XREAL, with Best Buy also taking orders in the U.S.
