Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold is now scheduled to launch globally on February 23, 2027, moving from its earlier January window. Alongside the updated date, a new official area video introduces Sessrymnir, Realmship of Earth.
Sessrymnir in an icebound world
This is an introduction to a specific new area, not a full cinematic trailer. Sessrymnir belongs to an expansion set in the icebound Fourth reflection.
The expansion site also outlines two new jobs and a level-cap increase from 100 to 110. Its feature plans remain subject to development and patch-release timing, rather than a promise that every listed addition will arrive on launch day.

Snackgirls react
Red: Let me loose in Sessrymnir—I want to walk around that realmship myself. I can already imagine putting off the next objective to keep exploring.
Nea: I’m curious how people make a home in an icebound world. I’d happily linger over the little details of their daily lives.
Why the website still says January
The February 23, 2027 launch date appears in the new official area video’s description. AUTOMATON also reported the date from the Tokyo Fan Festival on October 31.
The expansion website’s January 2027 date graphic has not caught up with that announcement. It reflects the previous window, not a separate launch schedule.
